St Valentines Day

Ada Mathieson and Margaret Baxter with two of the ladies from 3rd Generation.
Valentines Day Party
The day of the party got off to a great start with all ladies attending the hairdresser to have their hair done. Following that the ladies were treated to a manicure as we chatted over tea and coffee.
In the afternoon entertainers, 3rd Generation, arrived around 2pm. As you can see from the photos the costumes were outstanding. Joyce Hunter said "the costumes looked superb" and she found the day most enjoyable. The concert was in three parts, each with a different theme. The second part was the most popular with songs like Any Ole Iron, My Old Man and On Mother Kelly’s Door Step. 3rd Generation sang and danced and involved all of the residents with their singing, dancing and clapping along. Our cook made a special Valentines Day cake which the residents all enjoyed with a cuppa after the concert. Mrs Kirk said "the singing was great and I really enjoyed seeing all the costumes". Mrs Fagan said it was "lovely and entertaining" and she had a great time.
